Simple random sample

This procedure is used to draw a simple random sample from a list of sampling units. The data to be used is introduced into the program via a one column comma separated value (*.csv) file. Each row of the list corresponds to a sampling unit and the value entered for each row represents the unit identifier. The field type is text, therefore any kind of character may be used (number, character, or a combination of numbers and characters).

Enter the number of samples you wish to draw from the list and click RUN. A simple random sample of units will be drawn from the list.
